Recently, I found the Lego set #60161, Jungle Exploration Site, with a massive discount, bought it and built it with my children. A great success, even though they are still only three and five.
The truck that comes with the set is a huge model, at least for those of us old enough to remember Lego cars without any room for minifigs.
So I found one of my old sets, the #601 Tow Truck from 1970 to illustrate the change in scale in the Lego models. If you were to compare the scales to regular modelling scales, I would say that the orange truck is in about 1:35 scale, while the red truck would be something similar to 1:64 scale.
Quite a change over the last 47 years, but fortunately for the better 🙂
