For many years, I have been fascinated by the time leading up to the First World War, when Europe was under rapid transformation. The continent was knitted together by railways and new ships, while cities expanded and filled with industry.

The two world wars later destroyed much of what had been built over the preceding centuries. This blog is therefore about recreating small fragments of the old Europe that once existed in miniatures.

Here I will describe the models and dioramas that I build as well review finished models and sets. I will also compile relevant blog posts from my various old blogs here.
